Benny Pitt is a Los Angeles based Scenic and Production Designer. As a designer Benny specializes in new plays and re-examinations of classic texts, especially with a queer lens and camp aesthetics. He has worked in spaces of all kinds and sizes that he’s inventively, and colorfully transformed to immerse an audience in a new world. As an assistant Benny has had the pleasure of working with Efren Delgadillo Jr., Lex Liang, Ásta Bennie Hostetter, Deb O, and Jacob Brown. In 2017 he received a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts where he trained at the Playwrights Horizons Theatre School. Benny returned to school in the fall of 2021 to begin his MFA in Scenic Design at CalArts which he expects to complete in the spring of 2024.
