Chusu Kim

I want to share my personal memories and feelings with the public, such as loneliness and suffering, through the medium of space. I create narratives in space by making hand-made installations, videos, and flat graphics. My sculptures are curved and abstract, usually set up on the ceiling. Unlike my sculptures, the videos I make are often animations that describe my personal feelings and memories in a specific and descriptive way. I am also interested in collaboration so I can include music, sound, and interactive media so that visitors can experience my work in new ways. With this interest and goal, I am currently studying Scene design in the School of Theater, and plan on using my background in visual communication design to generate narratives that interact with space in new and interesting ways.
