Nick DePinto is a theatrical sound designer, sound engineer, and technician. One of his biggest interests is in how sound can be used to tell stories and assist others in delivering messages. When sound can be used in a way that makes a piece more meaningful, the potential for a show increases dramatically. Nick thrives in scenarios where sound is able to shine through and lead to emotion in a piece.Nick DePinto is a second-year MFA Sound Design student at California Institute of the Arts. He is a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he obtained a BA in Theatre Arts. In addition to designing and mixing shows at CalArts and Pitt, he has worked professionally in various theatres around LA and Pittsburgh, as well as in Vermont and Colorado.
