Yameng Deng is a LA-based producer/director/actress. As a bilingual film/theater producer, she is open to exploring different types of artistic showcases to audiences. Her work experience in China as a film journalist and background of film history/theory study provided new perspectives for her career practices. Her previous highlights as a producer include Cries and Whispers, When Five Years Pass, Aiky: Pathways to Light, The Water Station, BC:U’RE WORTH IT, The Sea Gull(2022), Water Under the Bridge. Her first attempt both as director and producer of Every Brilliant Thing workshop presented in March 2023 at the Coffeehouse Theater. Her next project is assistant director for Seagull(2023) which will be shown at Thymele Arts in June, stay tuned!
