Nicholas

Currently a BFA 3 in Experience Design & Production with a focus on Experience & Scenic Design, Nicholas Sasano is refining his skills in conceptualization, fabrication, and installation. Growing up amid Southern California’s major entertainment hubs, including its theme parks, he developed an early appreciation for narrative-driven spaces, leading to a technical pursuit of scenic design. With a strong understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, and spatial storytelling, Nicholas applies his technical knowledge and attention to detail to design and construct immersive environments that engage and transport audiences. Works at CalArts include Halloween ‘22 and ‘24, Drag Ball ‘22, An Experiment With an Air Pump (2024), Love’s Labour’s Lost (2025), and Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (2025).
