Nellie Xie is an interdisciplinary experience designer and creative technologist based in LA. She now specializes in Interactive Media for Performance at CalArts. Her work sits at the intersection of installation art, interactive systems, and game design, driven by her own design principles and philosophy that transforms complex digital logic into emotionally resonant, human-centered experiences. With a background in architecture and fabrication, Her practice focuses on replicating patterns, rhythms and of nature and life. Her recent work includes Aria, a large-scale sustainable installation at the Delft Science Center, and Klara on the Yard, an immersive storytelling project. Nellie has a proven track record of synthesizing electronics, system thinking, and narrative world-building to create environments that encourage active audience participation.
