Nicholas Sasano

Currently finishing his final year as a BFA 4 in Experience Design & Production, with a focus on Experience & Scenic Design, Nicholas Sasano is refining his skills in conceptualization, fabrication, and scenic finishing. Growing up amid Southern California’s major entertainment hubs, including its theme parks, he developed an early appreciation for narrative-driven spaces, which evolved into a technical pursuit of scenic design. With a strong understanding of production processes, rendering techniques, and spatial storytelling, Nicholas applies both technical precision and attention to detail to the creation of immersive environments that engage and transport audiences. His work emphasizes the intersection of design and construction, bridging concept and execution through material exploration and hands-on fabrication. His recent credits at CalArts include CalArts Halloween: Twisted Treasures (2024), Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (2025), The Bald Soprano (2025), and the 2026 Graduation Stage.
