Charlie Jacobs is a third year student in Experience Design and Production, emphasizing in Scenic Design and Technical Direction. Charlie has always been fascinated in the escape that theater and themed environments can bring to participants, and this same feeling of producing something out-of-this-world in addition to a unique perspective is what he hopes to carry. Charlie has always been interested in both the creative and technical aspects, following the process from conception to installation. Throughout his time at CalArts, Charlie has worked in various roles on productions including Technical Director for Seven Hoshi, Assistant Scenic Designer for Roberto Zucco, and Lighting Designer for Apocalypse at the Rainforest Cafe. Outside of school, Charlie has worked as a scenic painter on themed entertainment attractions. When not working on productions, you can find Charlie indulging in horror movies and attending immersive experiences.
