Joyce Qian (Producer, MFA1) has a passion for theater that was first interested in being a stage manager in high school. After being immersed in the multi aspects of theater, instead of retracing the ‘footages’ that have become a legend, her interest was to be a ‘reformer’ of classic theater within a modern context, speaking for what’s unsaid. Additionally, she's gained experience as a marketing advisor with TikTok, allowing her to practice her skills in communication and coordination. Her belief that ‘a play living in the present is a good play’ has led her to continue the journey at CalArts.
