Inspired by Maya Angelou’s words, Aje builds work that lingers in the emotional memory of its audience, crafting spaces that resonate long after the moment has passed. A multidisciplinary designer based in Los Angeles, he holds dual degrees in Architecture and Theatre Design & Production from UIC, alongside an MFA in Experience Design and Production with a focus in Scenic Design at CalArts. Aje moves fluidly across film, television, and live performance, at the core of his practice is storytelling through the environment. Aje constructs narrative worlds using space, material, and texture as primary tools, often integrating fabric and imagery to create layered, immersive atmospheres. His work explores tension, movement, and perception, shaping how audiences physically and emotionally experience a story. Whether designing for stage, screen, or installation, Aje’s approach remains consistent: to create spaces that don’t just hold stories, but make people feel them.
